What This Machine Does
Registered heat, positive-pressure forming, one servo pulling the web.
The JCP180 is the production-tier aluminum blister machine of the JCP line: registered heating, positive-pressure forming, feeding, sealing, batch-number embossing, creasing, counting and blanking, all continuous and PLC-controlled. In aluminum-plastic it runs 20-40 strokes a minute; in aluminum-aluminum, 10-40. That is 40,000 to 80,000 tablets an hour, GMP-oriented from the frame out.
The trade-off: barrier versus rate. Alu-plastic runs the top of the stroke range; alu-alu — the full light-and-moisture barrier — costs you the bottom of it. The same machine does both, but your schedule should assume the slower number when the product needs the higher barrier. Very deep or oversized formats (large honey pills and the like) are designed to order rather than stretched from standard tooling.
Best-Fit Products
Runs these well — and what each one needs
- Capsules and tablets at production volume → 40,000-80,000 pieces/hour on a 170 × 120 mm forming plate
- Moisture- and light-sensitive drugs → alu-alu tooling at 10-40 strokes/min
- Deep-draw specialties → 5-25 mm pockets standard, deeper drawn to order
- Medical devices, electronics, food portions → the same four-station architecture with product-specific molds
- Cleanroom installations → split body that moves through elevators and airlocks in sections

Is this the right machine for you?
Four honest questions before you buy
- Is your target inside 40,000-80,000 tablets/hour? Below that, the JCP100 may be the honest buy.
- Does the cavitation fit a 170 × 120 mm (alu-plastic) or 160 × 120 mm (alu-alu) plate?
- Can the room supply 380 V, compressed air and 50 L/h cooling water?
- Does the installation path involve an elevator or cleanroom airlock? This machine ships split-body for exactly that.
FAQ
The things buyers actually ask.
How much does alu-alu really cost in speed?
The stroke range tells you: 20-40 strokes/min in alu-plastic, 10-40 in alu-alu. Plan production on the format you actually run.
How long is a mold change?
Quick-connect molds share one locating datum across forming, sealing and blanking, with scale marks on every adjustment — one operator, a short job. Send your board drawing and we will quote the tooling set.
What utilities do I need?
5.5 kW at 380 V / 50 Hz, compressed air at ≥0.11 m³/min, and 50 L/h of tap or recycled cooling water.
Can it do deeper pockets than 25 mm?
Deeper and oversized formats are designed to order — large honey-pill blisters are a known case. Ask with your sample.
