What This Machine Does
The cheapest pouch is the one you never buy.
The PP180R is the flow wrapping machine of the PP series. Instead of loading pre-made pouches into a magazine, it pulls laminate from a roll, forms a pillow pack with a back seal around your product, fills it and seals the ends — up to 4,800 packs/hour (80 packs/min).
The trade-off: pack cost versus shelf presence. A formed pillow pack costs laminate price — meaningfully less than a finished stand-up pouch with the printing, zipper and spout already installed. What you give up is shelf impact: a pillow pack reads as a value product, a doypack reads as a premium one. For portion packs, food service and commodity retail, roll film almost always wins. For a premium retail product that has to sell itself on the shelf, the pre-made-pouch machines in this series are the honest answer.

Is this the right machine for you?
Four honest questions before you buy
- Is a pillow pack acceptable on your shelf? If the pack has to stand up and sell itself, a pre-made-pouch machine is the better tool.
- Are your fills liquids, slurries or powders up to 100 ml? That is this machine’s filling envelope.
- Are your packs within 60-90 mm wide and 80-150 mm high? Wider formats need a different machine, not a bigger reel.
- Can your plant supply 10 kW at 380V / 50 Hz, plus 0.6 m³/min of air at 0.6 MPa?
FAQ
The things buyers actually ask.
Roll film versus pre-made pouches — how do I choose?
If pack cost drives your margin (portion packs, food service, multipacks), roll film. If shelf presence drives your price point (retail, premium), pre-made pouches. Send us your product and target pack — we will tell you which side of that line you are on.
What pack sizes does it form?
Pillow packs 60-90 mm wide and 80-150 mm high, with a back seal and a diamond tear notch, straight from roll film.
How accurate is the filling?
±1.5%, across liquids, slurries and powders up to 100 ml on the two filling stations. Actual speed depends on your product and fill weight.
What controls and utilities does it need?
Mitsubishi PLC with a Weintek touchscreen and Siemens-spec electrics. Utilities: 10 kW at 380V / 50 Hz and 0.6 m³/min of compressed air at 0.6 MPa.
