What This Machine Does
Same sealing architecture, twice the web.
The JC420 is the wide-format horizontal flow wrapper of the JC line. It shares the JC250’s three-servo, single-jaw architecture and opens the format envelope: products up to 180 mm wide, 350 mm long and 45 mm tall, pulled from a 430 mm web at 35 to 150 packs a minute.
The trade-off: format headroom versus footprint and film. A wide web wraps products a 250-class machine simply cannot reach — but every millimetre of that width is laminate you pay for on every pack, and the machine itself is heavier (800 kg) and longer (4220 mm). If nothing in your range exceeds 100 mm wide, the JC250 does the same job on a smaller reel and a smaller floor plan.
Best-Fit Products
Runs these well — and what each one needs
- Large bakery and mooncake gift formats → up to 180 mm wide with the film path routed to protect glazes and prints
- Bigger boxed and blister-packed pharma → secondary wrap for full cartons, not just blister cards
- Household and hard goods → wide rigid items that need nothing more than a clean back seal
- Multi-item retail packs → counted groups up to 350 mm long in one pillow pack
- Taller products to 45 mm → inside the sealing envelope without change parts

Is this the right machine for you?
Four honest questions before you buy
- Does your widest product exceed 100 mm? That is the line where the JC420 starts earning its web.
- Do you need length beyond 350 mm or height beyond 45 mm? Then we should talk formats before models.
- Can your floor take a 4220 × 950 mm machine and supply 3.0 kW at 220 V / 50 Hz?
- Is your plant noise budget ≥78 dB-friendly? Both flow wrappers run at or under it.
FAQ
The things buyers actually ask.
What actually changes from the JC250?
The web and the envelope: film width 90-430 mm instead of 90-240, products to 180 mm wide and 350 mm long, a taller 45 mm sealing window, and a heavier 800 kg frame at 4220 × 950 × 1600 mm. Servo set, speed window and controls stay the same.
Does the wider web slow it down?
No — the rated window is the same 35-150 packs/min. Real speed tracks your product and film, not the web width.
Hang holes and custom cutters?
Available as on the JC250: Euro slot or round holes inline, and seal or cutter tooling made to order against your product.
What films does it seal?
OPP, PE, PVC single films and OPP/CPP, PT/PE, KOP/CPP laminates — the standard heat-sealable families for pillow packs.
