Biscuit Packing Machine
A biscuit packing machine wraps stacked biscuits, cookies and crackers in sealed packs. Flow wrapping is the core format — JC250 and JC420 wrap biscuit stacks to 350 mm long — while premium cookies also run in printed stand-up pouches on the PP series.
Stacks, piles and multipacks
The dominant biscuit format is the stack — counted biscuits in a column, wrapped in printed film with registered artwork. The flow wrapper’s infeed stacks and lanes the product; the machine seals around it.
Family packs run longer stacks or two-lane double stacks; premium cookies and gift assortments run in trays inside flow wrap, or in premade pouches with full artwork.
What biscuits demand from the machine
Biscuits crumble — gentle stacking, low drop heights and non-crushing seal pressure keep whole-biscuit rates high. Oily biscuits add jaw soiling to the daily routine.
Print registration is near-universal in biscuits: the pack face carries brand artwork that must align on every wrap.

How to choose
- Stack handling — how biscuits arrive (bulk, pre-stacked, on-edge) decides the infeed module.
- Breakage — request trial results on your actual biscuit; recipes differ by density and fat content.
- Format range — minis to family packs span wide envelopes; check both extremes fit one machine.
- Gas flush — cream-filled and high-fat biscuits benefit from nitrogen flush.
- Changeover — biscuit lines run many SKU formats; change time is a real production number.
Frequently asked questions
Can one machine wrap biscuit stacks and cookies in pouches?
Flow wrapping and pouch packing are different machines. Biscuit plants typically run the flow wrapper for stacks and add a pouch machine for premium lines — see the pouch platform page.
How do you keep biscuits from breaking during wrapping?
Gentle stacking infeed, matched speeds between infeed and wrapper, and sealing pressure set for the product. Trial wrapping on your biscuits gives the real breakage number.
How much does a biscuit packing machine cost?
Price follows film width, infeed complexity and options like gas flush. Send your biscuit format and stack dimensions for a written quotation.
Can it pack wafer biscuits?
Yes — wafer stacks run on the same flow wrappers with the gentlest handling settings; wafers are the most fragile product in the biscuit family, so trial runs matter more than spec sheets.
What about single-biscuit on-edge wrapping?
High-speed single-biscuit on-edge lines are a specialized machine category. Our machines cover stacks, multipacks, family packs and tray-in-wrap formats — the formats most bakeries actually run.
