Chocolate Wrapping Machine
A chocolate wrapping machine seals chocolate in protective film — bars in flow wrap on the JC250/JC420, countline multipacks on the same platform, molded pieces in blisters on the JCP lines, and bulk chocolate in printed pouches on the PP series.
Chocolate formats and their machines
Bar wrap — the core format: printed foil or BOPP around a bar, registered artwork, cool-room wrapping on a flow wrapper.
Box overwrap — boxettes and gift boxes wrapped in printed film; the box wrapping page details this configuration.
Molded pieces in blisters — tablets and pieces fixed in formed cavities on the JCP platform for unit-dose and premium presentations.
Bulk and cooking chocolate — chips and chunks in printed stand-up pouches on the PP series.
What chocolate demands from the machine
Temperature discipline: chocolate wraps cool — typically 18–22 °C rooms — so the machine runs at ambient without heat leaking into the product zone; sealing heat goes into the film, not the chocolate.
Foil and metallized films seal differently from BOPP: narrower temperature windows and clean-cut requirements. Chocolate experience on a wrapper is a recipe library, not a machine feature.

How to choose
- Format first — bar, box, blister or pouch routes to different machines.
- Wrapping room temperature — confirm the line runs at chocolate-safe ambient conditions.
- Film spec — foil, metallized and BOPP have different sealing windows; match the machine recipe to the film you actually buy.
- Seasonal volume — chocolate output swings with seasons; check changeover and uptime support.
- Downstream — boxettes often sleeve or carton after wrap; plan the end-of-line with the wrapper.
Frequently asked questions
Can a flow wrapper wrap chocolate without melting it?
Yes — sealing heat applies to the film for milliseconds while the product zone stays at room temperature. The industry wraps chocolate on flow wrappers daily; the discipline is the cool room, not a cooled machine.
What machine wraps individual chocolate pieces?
Molded pieces in fixed positions run on the JCP blister platform. Loose bulk pieces run as counted multipacks on flow wrappers or in pouches.
How much does a chocolate wrapping machine cost?
Bar wrappers, blister lines and pouch machines sit at different price points. Send your chocolate format for a written quotation against the right platform.
Can a flow wrapper handle foil wrapping for chocolate?
Yes — plain and coated aluminium foils and metallized BOPP seal on the same wrappers, with narrower temperature windows and clean-cut knife requirements. Foil is a recipe matter; the platform does not change.
Do you build chocolate coin wrapping machines?
No — coin and other single-piece specialty wrappers are dedicated high-speed categories. Molded pieces in fixed positions run on our JCP blister platform; bars and multipacks run on the flow wrappers.
Can it wrap protein bars?
Yes — protein and nutritional bars are core flow-wrap work on the JC250 and JC420: single bars, counted multipacks and banded multi-packs. The same cool-room discipline applies as for chocolate.
